Starlite Marbella’s star-studded line up

One of the trends we’re seeing in 2018 is holidaymakers looking to base their holidays around
activities, experiences and events. It’s a great way to do something different and have an amazing
experience and here on the Costa del Sol there are so many things to do and see.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience for your holiday this year, check out Starlite
Marbella. This is a boutique festival, with a series of concerts which take place in July and August.
There are 16 great concerts in the main auditorium. This is a spectacular location to see a concert, in
an old quarry behind Marbella, which almost has an otherworldly feel.
We’re particularly excited about Sting on the 19 th of July, Il Divo on the 28 th of July, James Blunt on
the 3 rd of August and the exceptional flamenco dancer Sara Baras on the 11 th of August. See the full line up on their website and you can book tickets online too.
In addition to these amazing concerts there are also “sessions” where smaller groups perform
concerts and DJs take centre stage. This is in the cool bar and restaurant area, outside the main
auditorium and has a great atmosphere. There are several bars, places to buy food and an elegant,
refined, festival environment.
Insider’s Tip – With a sessions ticket you don’t get a seat unless you book a VIP table.

Where to stay if you’re going to Starlite?

Starlite is in the Nagueles area of Marbella, just a few minutes’ drive from the centre. The easiest
access is from Marbella’s stunning Golden Mile, so this is a great place to stay. You can get a taxi or
transfer up from the Golden Mile and be there in just a few minutes.

We have a number of wonderful holiday rentals on the Golden Mile that, as well as being close to
Starlite, are also very well positioned to be able to walk into Marbella and Puerto Banus. The Golden
Mile has beautiful villas and apartment complexes with great facilities. You can walk down to a
lovely stretch of beach with beach bars and cafes, yet it is a peaceful area.
You are also close to Puente Romano, with its great bars and restaurants. We love the beach front
Sea Grill and Dani Garcia’s Bibo – a must for foodie travellers! The Puente Romano has a tennis club which recently hosted the Da vis Cup and regularly hosts music events in the summer, so if you’re lucky you might even be able to fit in two concerts during your stay! These tend to be announced later in the year than Starlite, but you can check the promoters Crazy Music Productions who normally arrange the concerts there, for the latest announcements.

Things to do in the summer in Marbella

Other great summer activities include –

A trip to one of the Costa del Sol’s amazing Beach Clubs for a VIP experience and a party atmosphere. Check out our favourite Beach Clubs

Go to a water park. Families love the water parks and although there isn’t one in Marbella, we’d recommend a trip down the coast to Aqua Mijas in Fuengirola or Bahia Park in Algeciras.

Head to Tarifa for kite surfing. Tarifa makes a great day trip destination for water sports fans. The consistent strong winds make it a mecca for windsurfers and kite surfers and its bohemian vibe is very different from Marbella and Banus.

Vacation Marbella can help you make the most of your Marbella summer holidays. As well as offering luxury holiday rentals, we also go the extra mile with a host of guest services and excellent customer service. We’ve thought about everything that we think will make your holiday extra special, from transfers, to golf green-fees, to boat charters and childcare. If there’s anything more you need, please don’t hesitate to contact our helpful team.
