HALF-DAY VISIT- CAMINITO DEL REY
Re-opened to the great delight and global publicity in March 2015, the Caminito del Rey has rapidly become a must-visit for visitors and locals alike. Once labelled as the “World´s Most Dangerous Walkway” the Caminito del Rey has become somewhat gentler after its restoration, but it still remains an unforgettable walk in beautiful mountain scenery and offers visitors stunning and dramatic views as well as a few Cliffhanging moments. Clinging to the Cliff face of the Gaitanes Gorge, a 100 dizzying metres above the Guadalhorce River below, the Caminito del Rey was originally built between 1901 and 1905 to allow workers at nearby power plants to cross between them, transport materials and allow inspections.
The walk normally takes around two and half hours, although our guide will always walk at your pace and you can stop to rest, take pictures or simply marvel as much as you like and there is no time limit. The walk itself is approx 7,5 Km and is mainly flat for its duration. There is approx. 2.9 Km of walking on the wooden walkway and the rest, walking either through the valley in the middle or to the approaches at the start and exit.

Standing on a rocky promontory with its magnificent castle overlooking the entire Bay and the Rock of Gibraltar, Castellar is the Green Lung of the area, benefiting from the Los Alcornocales Natural Park. Its origins date back to the Bronze Age but it truly developed an identity after the Muslim conquest, becoming known as Al-Qasr. The Fortress (12th 15th century) retains a marked Medieval character, with its sinuous network of spotlessly clean, whitewashed streets. This is where the El Divino Salvador Church is located, along the side of a passageway called “Algorfa” which connects it with the Alcazar, the Moorish palace.

RIO FRÍO EXPERIENCE – ORGANIC CAVIAR
Appreciated already by the Persians or Romans and taken to the wealthy classes of the world, from Tsars and Kings to American Patrons, Caviar, this exclusive product has become a symbol of exclusivity, exquisiteness and sophistication. In the ode to this particular black gold, we move to the cradle of the only ecological caviar on the planet, Riofrío, to learn about the benefits and secrets of this sensational product. Visiting the facilities of this unique place is to get to contemplate the fish swimming freely in cristal clear pure water which comes from the nearby mountain from a naturally born spring only a few meters away from the swimming pools, located in the same course of a river where the fish are bred. During the 3 phases of growth of these living fossils, the sturgeon are fed with an organic feed from cereals and fish. The Organic Caviar is elaborated following the traditional Russian Malossol style, by adding between 3-4% of salt to the total; completely free of preservatives. Caviar roe which has a colour that turns from greenish-grey to dark grey and brown (the black colour indicates a product already depleted in quality), will be then divided (depending on its calibre) into the categories; Excellsius, being the most exclusive costing around €3,200/kg) and Classic €2,300/kg).
Apart from the previous one, there is also a type of caviar that follows the classic Russian tradition of pressing, called Payusnaya (1,100 €/kg) from which only 1 kg of the final product is obtained for every 2 kg of organic caviar. This is a type of caviar that fascinates most of the chefs of the world, since it is the only one that can be cooked with; such is the case of Chef Diego Gallegos who is the ambassador of the products of Riofrío, a fact that has earned him the nickname of “Chef del Caviar”!
