Autumn has arrived in Marbella! With the crowds and extreme heat of the summer dissipating, and the sun still shining with average temperatures at a perfect 18-22 degrees throughout, now is undoubtedly one of the best times of the year to visit Marbella.

Whether you are looking for a slightly delayed family holiday, a quick weekend getaway, a romantic escapade or a trip to do some sightseeing in one of the most beautiful and culture rich areas in Spain, Marbella is perfect for you and not expecting a cold and rainy winter anytime soon.

For the beach and sea lovers, autumn is the ideal season to visit. There are 24 different beaches across 27km of coastline, many of which have received the prestigious Blue Flag Award over the years as an international quality mark which signifies their superiority not only in the country, but also globally. The heavy masses may have departed but the warmth remains, the sea is definitely still inviting and warm enough, and the sardines are at their biggest now!

Marbella also offers some of the finest golfing and tennis facilities in Europe, and the warm climate provides a guarantee to be able to play almost every day of the year. For the party animals, Marbella has no deficit when it comes to fine restaurants, quirky bars and legendary nightclubs that attract millions of visitors and celebrities all year round.

Some people have wrongly believed that when excluding beaches, nightlife and golf, there is not much to do in Marbella. However, the fact is that they could not be more mistaken! Marbella offers an immense range of activities to cater for discerning tastes of all ages.

On the 15th of October, the Global Gift Foundation will be hosting its third annual golf tournament led by Ronan Keating in order to aid children, women and families in need. Ronan Keating and Maria Bravo invite you to join them and participate in this year’s Global Gift Celebrity Golf Challenge at one of Marbella’s most prestigious golf clubs. After the tournament, participants will be invited to a Gala dinner, with an exclusive acoustic session by Ronan Keating!

Marbella’s typical fairs and festivals take place throughout the whole year, but especially during the summer and autumn months when everyone takes to the streets as an excuse to get out, enjoy the weather and have a great time. One of the finest fairs, the San Pedro de Alcántara feria, is a weeklong event held on the third week of October that simply cannot be missed! With something for every member of the family, the feria typically includes a combination of flamenco music, street parades, traditional costumes, dancing, firework displays and a fabulous range of traditional food and drink.

Moreover, no visit to Marbella would be complete without a visit to one of their enchanting street markets. The Puerto Banús market is held every Saturday morning from 9am and offers a fascinating range of clothing, jewellery, trinkets, souvenirs and local fruit, vegetables, spices and flowers. Additionally, every Monday Marbella accommodates a typical street market with over 360 stalls that sell anything you could ever imagine. The prices here are always negotiable so make sure you bring your best bargaining skills, the sellers love it too!

Are you trying to find sport and adventure activities? We have those too!
