Pride Torremolinos 2025

One of the biggest LGBTQIA+ events on the Costa del Sol, Torremolinos Pride will be held between the 5th and 8th of June. Here is everything you need to know.

The biggest Pride event on the Costa del Sol is held in Torremolinos. It is a vibrant celebration of love, music and life which brings around 40,000 people to the area to party. This year Torremolinos Pride is taking place between June 5th and June 8th. This year’s event marks 10 years of embracing and celebrating diversity, and it’s going to be the biggest and best yet.

10 Years of Pride in Torremolinos

Torremolinos Pride is one of the youngest Pride events in Spain, celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025. In the last decade, it has become a very important event for tourism in the area and positions Torremolinos as one of the top Gay destinations in Spain.

This year’s 10th anniversary is a fantastic opportunity to look at how this Pride event has grown and developed and fights for the rights and representation of the LGBTQIA+ community in Spain. The Pride Torremolinos Facebook page is sharing inspiring messages, looking back over the last 10 years and powerfully explaining the importance of this event. They said, “This is not a trend, its about rights. Behind the feathers, flags, concerts, heels and wigs is our freedom to be who we are. With this party we celebrate what we have achieved. We will not stop until we achieve true equality.”

The importance of this event is not to be underestimated. In fact, it was officially named an “Event of Tourist Interest in Andalucia” by the government, thanks to its social impact, promoting inclusivity and having an international impact. It was awarded this distinction as it has transformed and benefited the area and put Torremolinos on the map as an inclusive and diverse place, where tolerance and equality are paramount.

Activity Program

Every year there are a wide range of activities around Pride, such as theatre performances, talks, exhibitions and events, which are mainly in Spanish. However, the event really kicks off in earnest on the 5th of June with the opening speech and the raising of the LGBTQIA+ flag.

You can then expect a packed calendar of musical performances, events and an amazing party lasting 4 fun-filled days.

The full programme has yet to be announced, but Drag queen Supremme de Luxe will be opening the whole festival. The artists Melody, Sonia & Selena, Merche, Mayo, Ladilla Rusa, Salma and Sharonne have been confirmed and it’s sure to be an amazing event, full of fun and representation.

There are activities for families promoting diversity, including the Family Diversity Day. Other favourite activities are a High-heel Race through the streets and a Pet Pride Competition. But, the highlight of the whole 4-day event is the huge Pride Parade through the streets and the epic Beach Party, which closes out the celebrations for another year.

If you’re not due to be visiting at this time, don’t worry, there are plenty of Pride events throughout the year in Torremolinos. Plus, on the Western Costa del Sol, you can find Manilva Pride, which is scheduled for the 13th and 14th of June 2025 and features lots of great music, parties and parades. They also hold other smaller Pride events at other times of the year, and there are some great gay bars on the Costa del Sol which run regular events, so look out for what’s happening when you visit.

Where to stay near Torremolinos?

Torremolinos Pride is one of the highlights of the LGBTQIA+ calendar on the Costa del Sol and it’s a great idea to time your visit to coincide with this amazing event. If you are visiting from abroad and looking where to stay to be in the centre of all the action, then the areas of Punto Blanco and La Nogalera are the main gay districts in the town. The beaches of Playamar and Bajondillo are also excellent locations to base yourself in.

Torremolinos is also on the train network which runs between Malaga and Fuengirola, so you can easily stay in one of the nearby towns, and escape the madness and noise and then take the train or bus in, or use the local taxi service.

We’d recommend booking a holiday rental in Benalmadena, as you can actually walk between the two towns along the seafront promenade in an hour, they are both on the trainline and Benalmadena offers lots to do and see. This includes a stunning and buzzing marina, beautiful park, cable car to the top of the mountain, great shopping, nightlife and restaurants.

Malaga and Fuengirola are also good options, slightly further from Torremolinos, but within easy reach via public transport.

Alternatively, why not stay in the vibrant, cosmopolitan and historic town of Marbella? It has a very different feel from Torremolinos and the surrounding towns and offers luxury, glitz and glamour, alongside excellent restaurants, bars and nightlife. You could stay in Marbella and let us organize a car to take you to and from the Pride events of your choice. Choose from the historic centre of Marbella, with a holiday rental in Marbella Old Town, or stay in a holiday rental on Marbella’s Golden Mile to be within easy reach of Puerto Banus and the nightlife hotspot of the Puente Romano.

Wherever you stay, we hope you have an amazing time! Let us know if we can help find you a holiday rental property near Torremolinos.
