Marbella: A unique holiday destination

Marbella is a unique holiday destination for your dream vacation with your family or friends. See here the different activities and places you may visit.

To talk about Marbella is to talk about glamour, elegance, chic, international, luxury and premium holidays. With 2,900 hours of sun per year, luxury villas, landmark hotels and 17 miles of satiny Mediterranean beaches with crystal blue waters, Marbella can practically grant the best weather for fully enjoying the summer and have the best holidays Spain can offer.

So, if you are still with us, it means that you are interested in Marbellian life in the summer. Let’s get to it!

ARE YOU A FOODIE?

In 2016 Marbella reached 8 Michelin stars spread in 7 restaurants. Four of them are in Marbella, one in Málaga City, one in Fuengirola and the other one in Casares. The most veteran food guide, says it loud and we are proud: Marbella is one of the best mediterranean cities for gourmet experiences. Ok, enough blah blah blah. Where are those 4 pearls of Spanish cuisine?

  • Restaurant Dani García: 2 Michelin stars
Puente Romano Hotel: Chef: Dani García.
(Bulevar Príncipe Alfonso von Hohenlohe, s/n)
  • Restaurant José Carlos García: 1 Michelin star
Shopping Center Muelle Uno. Málaga Port. Chef: José Carlos García
    (Paseo de la Farola)
  • Restaurant El Lago: 1 Michelin star
    Urb. Elviria Hills
    (Avda. Las Cumbres, s/n)
  • Restaurant Skina: 1 Michelin star
    Chef: Jaume Puigdengolas
    (Calle de Aduar, 12)

You are welcome. 🙂

ARE YOU A GOLFER?

With more than 30 golf courses available, there is no wonder why some refer to Málaga as the Costa del Golf. More than half of them (16) are located in Marbella itself. Valderrama Golf Course, for example, hosted 1997’s Ryder Cup and is one of Europe’s best known sites. Sotogrande is also another exemplary course in the area, with a long history of hosting tournaments on the world stage. Real Club de Golf Guadalmina is the second oldest in the province, with 2 courses depending on your desire for a challenge! Real Club de Golf Las Brisas is THE Robert Trent Jones designed course, with some wonderful facilities. Try the terrace for dinner!

ARE YOU A NIGHT OWL?

Let’s not forget that we are talking about Spain here. If you want fiesta, Marbella is definitely the place. Where else could you see Paris Hilton or Bob Sinclair deejaying? They both performed this summer at Olivia Valere, an upscale restaurant, bar and disco, perfect for a night out in town. Themed parties, international guest DJs and world-famous celebrity guests all feature in the club’s jampacked schedule.

But maybe you prefer a good gig. In that case, Starlite is what your looking for. This summer, various artists ranging from Tom Jones or Santana to french ‘chanson’ star Charles Aznavour, all played at Starlite’s natural amphitheater, a place where you might find stars not only on stage but also amongst the audience.

If you’re looking for a more romantic night out, Finca Besaya offers live music in a magical environment.

ARE YOU A BEACH LOVER?

In that case you should visit Ocean Club Marbella, the ultimate beach club experience (according to them, and to us!). What could you expect from a club that defines itself as “9,000 square meters of style, luxury and glamorous indulgence”? Exactly our point. I can really imagine myself “ordering waiter service at my sun bed or relaxing with a cocktail or sisha pipe at the bar as the DJs create a relaxing summer chill ambience that gradually turns into a party atmosphere”. Daytimes are easygoing, with quality restaurant and massages, while their themed parties are famous for being as glamorous as they are exciting and lively. Live music, dancers, entertainers and beautiful people make it an experience to remember.

If we did hit your soft spot, maybe you should also let yourself be seen at La Cabane, one of the most elegant and exclusive places on the Costa del Sol, or at the Trocadero.

ARE YOU… CRAZY?

If you think that Marbella isn’t really your thing maybe you are… Marbella is much more than golf and clubs. You could visit Marbella Old Quarter, go for an off-road tour, go karting, try sailing on a jetboat, go fly boarding, go for an eco tour, sail a catamaran with bouncing beds, go diving, fishing, windsurfing, paddle surfing, cycling while enjoying the most spectacular andalusian panoramics and even go to stunning Alhambra, only two hours drive away…

But, of course, you’ll need somewhere to stay and we have ‘la creme de la creme’ when it comes to apartments. We take nothing less than exceptional quality.
