Reserve Cup Series in Marbella, September 18-20 2025

Reserve Cup Series, an international padel tournament taking place for the first time outside the U.S. in Marbella, from September 18-20, 2025.

We are very excited that one of the most prestigious padel events in the world, the Reserve Cup Series is landing in Marbella for the first time this September.

This marks the first time that the Reserve Cup Series has gone international, following successful events in Miami in 2023 and 2024. This year there will be a two-stop tournament, hosted in two iconic cities – Miami and Marbella. Marbella was chosen for its vibrant padel culture, luxury lifestyle, international appeal and its history as the birthplace of the modern style of padel tennis.

In this article, we’ll be sharing information about the series and this year’s event in Marbella, as well as how you can get tickets and where you should stay.

About the Reserve Cup Series

The Reserve Cup was created by Wayne Boich, with NBA star Jimmy Butler as Honorary Chairman. The first editions in 2023 and 2024 were held at the Reserve Miami Seaplane Base, blending elite sport with high-end hospitality and entertainment. Although it’s a relative newcomer in the world of padel, it has quickly become one of the most exclusive and innovative padel tournaments in the world. In 2025, the event has evolved into the Reserve Cup Series, with the first round played in Miami this January and the second in Marbella, Spain from September 18th to 20th 2025.

Though not part of the official professional circuit, the Reserve Cup Series has become a benchmark of prestige, drawing global attention and redefining how padel is experienced.

Only 16 players are invited, selected for their elite performance and star power. The team formation in the Reserve Cup Series is one of its most distinctive features—designed to maximize excitement, unpredictability, and star power.

It follows a unique format, with two teams of 8 players, which are a mix of top-ranked professionals, rising stars, wildcard entries and often celebrity athletes or crossover players from other sports. The draft aims to balance skill levels while creating intriguing pairings and rivalries. Within each team, pairings rotate across matches. This means players may team up with different partners during the tournament, adding strategic depth and variety.

These teams compete in 12 matches, with a cumulative scoring format to decide the winning team.

The series offers a record-breaking prize pool of $1.7 million, the highest in padel history. Winners receive the coveted Reserve Cup Trophy, symbolizing excellence and innovation in the sport.

But this tournament is more than just the matches, The Reserve Cup is known for its immersive experience which includes premium stage design, lighting, and live music, exclusive merchandise, celebrity guests, luxury hospitality, and curated social events.
