The pretty Old Town of Marbella, is tucked away behind the high-street, right in the centre of town. Head away from the sea from the Avenida del Mar and the Alameda Park and within 100 meters you will feel as if you have stepped back in time. It is a real pleasure to wander the winding streets, discovering hidden chapels, lovely little squares and churches and lots and lots of great restaurants and bars. There is also a great selection of independent shops selling shoes, clothes, accessories, gifts, speciality foods and wines. If you’re travelling with people who don’t like shopping, Marbella Old Town is a good in between option, some interesting shopping for you and a chance to experience the ancient centre of Marbella and sample some great food and wine in a very charming environment.
