Which are the perfect surfing beaches on the Costa del Sol?

If you want to enjoy this exciting activity we have the perfect conditions in our province: waves, wind and an unbeatable climate that will allow you to practice one of the most fun and vibrant sports there is. Some of the beaches we recommend are the following:

Cabopino, Artola beach: In Marbella we find one of the most beautiful and famous beaches for surf lovers on the Costa del Sol. The sandy bottom located between the breakwater and the marina creates great waves for the most experienced surfers.

Benalmádena, Bil-Bil beach: The easterly wind allows this beach to be full of surfers, creating optimal conditions for surfing and generating a very pleasant atmosphere on the beach.

Malaga: Right in the centre of the city, in the neighbourhood of El Palo, you will find the beach of El Chanquete, one of the favourites for surfers in the capital, as it can be practised in both westerly and easterly winds. The neighbourhood offers numerous bars, beach bars and pubs where after surfing you can have a good time recharging your batteries.

Velez-Malaga, Playa de Benajarafe: This is an ideal spot for easterly winds, with easy access and seclusion. Both beginners and more experienced surfers can enjoy a good swim at this beautiful beach.

Playa de Pijil, in Torrox: Located between Algarrobo and Torrox, it is a beach with good waves all year round, making it an ideal place for beginner surfers. This beach generates a good atmosphere of surfing enthusiasts so you can spend a full day with sport and friends.

Another option for your holidays is paddle surfing, another sport that you can do on the Costa del Sol all year round. If the conditions are optimal, with no wind or waves, you can rent a board and spend the day on your board along the coast of Malaga. Without a doubt a great alternative to do sport while you get a tan on your holidays.
