A wide variety of events

Along with the cultural events typical of Andalusian culture such as the fair, holy week or pilgrimages, in Marbella is held the most important charity gala in Spain, the Starlite Gala, whose activity includes mainly music, as well as film, fashion, art and gastronomy. In addition, there are several annual festivals such as the musical event held in the natural auditorium of the Cantera de Nagüeles that attracts the best and leading national and international musical artists to the city. The Marbella International Opera Festival has been held in August since 2001; the Marbella Reggae Festival, held in July; and the Marbella International Jazz Festival, held in June in different locations and spaces in the city, such as the beach, a boat or the old town. We also have other major events such as the Marbella International Film Festival, the Independent Theater Festival and the Spanish Film Festival.

As for the most important sporting events we find the Andalucía Tennis Experiences, the Marbella Tournament or the Grand Prix Costa del Sol Sailing. As for volleyball we have the annual beach volleyball tournament and the Ciudad de Marbella aquathlon which together with the Marbella city race completes a wide range of sports in our city.

One of the most important and awaited festivals in Marbella is the fair, in honor of its patron saint San Bernabé during the second week of June is celebrated both in the day fair and in the night fair different activities, you can enjoy its booths and the little ones have the carousels to have a great time during a week. If you want to immerse yourself in the city and know how its inhabitants live, do not hesitate, visit the fair and festivities during the month of June and let yourself be carried away by its fun and intensity.

Marbella, for decades has been known for the glamour of its visitors, the “jet-set” celebrated mythical parties recognized throughout Spain and where people from all over the world came to enjoy the weather, gastronomy and unique atmosphere of the city. Today in Marbella people continue to enjoy the music of the DJs, sometimes with the anonymity of the private parties and the glamour of the main gala of the Starlite Festival that keep alive the essence and splendor of the summers of yesteryear.

There is no doubt that in Marbella you can find a huge diversity of parties, from its traditional Andalusian fair to private parties in Beach Clubs or discos along the Golden Mile.
