The Sierra Nevada mountain range is a 2 hour drive from Marbella, so you can be on the beach in the morning and go skiing at lunch time: it is an amazing experience as part of a getaway.

Another option you have to practice is kayaking. In the whole area of the Costa de Nerja you can enjoy a wonderful excursion through the caves of Maro, undoubtedly one of the coolest activities you can do.
Hiking
The Costa del Sol has wonderful hiking trails awaiting you in Mijas, Marbella and Estepona. Be sure to wear proper shoes or boots and bring water and sunscreen, as this is a demanding hike.
