AquaMijas

Mijas Aquapark in Fuengirola ✅Open from April to September. It’s a brilliant all the family activity for the summer. See the details on this page.

AquaMijas is a great waterpark in Fuengirola which offers lots of great slides and activities for all the family. It has lots of sunbeds where you can relax and soak up the sun, changing rooms and toilets, a picnic area, restaurant and bar. There are two a lovely children’s area where children aged five and under will be able to splash around, use the slides and have lots of fun.

There are six great slides, two lazy river style rides where you go down slides on rings, a hot tub, a wave pool and a large pool area where you can swim and also take part in fun activities such as aqua aerobics and Zumba. It’s a good choice for a family as it is relatively small, so it is manageable and if you set up camp near to the kids areas you can watch the children enjoy while you relax.

The water park is open from April to September and it’s a brilliant kids activity for the summer. You can spend the whole day there and if you want to bring a packed lunch that’s no problem, just make sure you don’t have any glass bottles, as they won’t let those in.

Insider’s Tip – There is free parking outside but it can become very full. We’d recommend getting there early so you can find parking easily, minimise queues to get in and then queues for the slides. Make sure you bring plenty of sun cream and water. Jelly shoes or beach shoes are also really recommended as the floor can get really hot and there can be sharp edges, so shoes which can get wet can make your experience a lot more comfortable.

How much does it cost?

Ticket prices are 25€ for adults and kids over 12 years old, 19€ for kids 8-12 years old, 14€ for children from 3 to 7 and under 3s are free. There are family tickets available which are excellent for families with more than one child. Find out more and book online for discounts.

There are rings available to hire to avoid the queues. However, if you’re not visiting at peak times then this may not be necessary, so go and check out the queues first before you hire them.

You also need to pay for the sun beds, which can be a surprise when you first sit down. There’s no need to get a ticket, choose your sunbed and they will come over and charge you at the beds.

Water parks are one of our favourite things to do with kids on the Costa del Sol during the summer. It’s such a great day out for all the family and a wonderful way to stay cool. If you want to go to a water park during your holiday but you’re not near Fuengirola, there are other water parks in Torremolinos and in Algeciras which are both excellent.
