This is a lovely aquarium with 36 exhibits, over 2,000 creatures and some excellent talks and feeding demonstrations. It is ideal for families because they have really designed it with little people in mind. Toddlers will love the low windows which they can peep through and the long corridors which are fun to explore. They have a number of really fun, interactive exhibits where you can hold a crab and a starfish in their rockpool and you will all be amazed by the sharks, giant turtles and rays.
They have zones including the Ray Island and Ray Nursery, a Mediterranean area, Kingdom of the Seahorse, and Shark Tunnel, which you actually walk through while the sharks swim all around you. There’s a Discover Nemo area with coral reefs full of clown fish and blue tang fish so you can meet Nemo and his friends, which any Disney fan will love. There is also an otter oasis where you can get up close and personal with these beautiful Asian Short Clawed otters.
