Founded in 1989 and set amidst some of the most stunning scenery to be found anywhere in Marbella, La Quinta Golf encapsulates the very essence of a Mediterranean golf course at its finest. Designed by legendary golfer Manuel Piñero, this is a unique 27 hole course, divided into three 9-hole courses which offers something for everyone. The ability to combine these courses to give a full 18-hole round gives the golfer a range of games and plenty of variety.
The course is easy to reach in Nueva Andalucia’s Golf Valley, with a small driving range, underground parking, a restaurant, pro shop and an academy. Although it is on a complex in a relatively built up area, when playing the course you have a feeling of being in the countryside and it is very peaceful.
The course itself is varied and challenging with lots of doglegs and water hazards. It isn’t overly long, so there are plenty of birdie opportunities provided you hit it straight. The course is gentle, with medium width fairways, excellent quality tee boxes and overall good condition. Mature trees and sea and mountain views make for a picturesque setting for a round.
La Quinta is ideal for the mid to high handicap golfer, described by Top 100 Golf Courses as “comfortable, fun and playable by golfers of all abilities”. Green fees are 125€ for 18 holes.
