Delivering superlative service and offering guests exquisite dishes

D-Wine is an amazing place for lovers of fine wines, as it is a wine shop, restaurant and bar, where you can try some of the best, most unusual wines from around Spain and further afield, accompanied by some amazing food. There are more than 7,500 wines and an award winning wine list and they have recently introduced paired wine tasting boards, where each week there will be two new sets of four wines to sample, paired with fine cheeses.

The restaurant serves delicious and beautifully presented food, which is a mix of innovative dishes and classic favourites. It has a huge and varied menu, and they also have weekly specials, so you’re sure to find something that takes your fancy. There are light and fresh salads, a selection of tartars, Asian favourites such as tempura and tuna tataki, soups, pasta and rice, fresh wild fish, seafood, meats and poultry and a wide selection of desserts.

It is a very big restaurant, with a stylish terrace and an elegant indoor dining room. There is a relaxed lounge area where you can have a drink and some tapas, which has a wonderful machine where you can sample some wonderful wines by the glass, half glass or small taster. This is a real opportunity to try a variety of different wines and find your favourite. There is also a smoking terrace which people love to be able to have a cigar and whisky at the end of a meal. Some people complain about a lack of atmosphere due to the size of the place when it’s quiet, but they often have live music and normally gets busy later in the evening.

There are also regular events such as wine tasting evenings, with different themes such as eco-friendly wine, bubbles or wine and cheese. These events are a great way to try different wines, learn about them and enjoy the atmosphere and they are normally 20€ per person.

The wine list is enormous as you can imagine and can be a bit baffling, but don’t panic, there is always a sommelier on hand to recommend the right wines to accompany your meal. Tell them the kind of wines you like, and they will bring you some really unusual choices. The wines are at the same price as you can buy them in the shop, so they are excellent value. Don’t leave without a look around the incredible wine shop, you can pick up your favourite wine to take home with you!

Where to stay?

D-Wine is located near the San Pedro tunnel, close to Puerto Banus, so we’d recommend staying either in Puerto Banus, San Pedro or Guadalmina for easy access to D-Wine and many other wonderful restaurants, bars and shops.

San Pedro has a lovely Old Town, buzzing new boulevard and great seafront area, but is quite spread out and so there’s quite a lot of walking involved if you’re exploring on foot.

Puerto Banus is famous for its glamourous lifestyle, with a marina full of super yachts, sports cars and designer shops, top restaurants and bars and big nightclubs with famous DJs and all night entertainment. Check out our Puerto Banus vacation rentals

Guadalmina is a quiet, residential area, with a commercial centre and good access to the nearby golf courses of Guadalmina and El Paraiso, with easy access to San Pedro and a lovely beach area. We have some great properties in the Guadalmina area, they are included in our Marbella vacation rentals section.

We have a great range of vacation rental properties in all of these areas and you can browse our website to see our full list. We are also on hand to advise you where to go and what to do to ensure you have a great holiday. We have prepared a Marbella holiday guide and our holiday experts are here and ready to help.
