Tivoli is the only theme park on the Costa del Sol and has more than 40 attractions for the whole family, as well as great shows, bars, restaurants and beautiful gardens.
This has many great traditional fairground rides which are lots of fun for the whole family. Highlights include a water ride, roller coaster, bumper boats and go-karts. To get the lay of the land, jump on the Tivoli train which lets you tour the park and see all the rides before you start and saves your feet and then go and give everything a try!
There are a number of restaurants on site, a typical Spanish tapas style bar, a burger joint, pizza restaurant and even a Chinese pagoda! The shows in the evenings come highly recommended, as does the Chinese restaurant.
It is recommended for kids over 7, as under 7s may have issues with the height restrictions and can find such a big park hard to manage. However, there are rides for children from 1.10 meters and up, so a whole family of mixed ages can have a great day out.
Please take note of the opening days and times through the year as they change a lot!
Off-season the park is open only at weekends from 12 to 7pm
In May it opens four days a week 12.30 to 7.30pm
In June it is open four days a week as well, but only in the afternoons and evenings – from 5pm to midnight
July and August it is open seven days a week, from 6pm to 1am.
Check the website when planning your family holiday for opening days if a theme park is top of your list, as there are quite a few examples of people turning up at the wrong day and time on TripAdvisor!
How much does it cost?
Kids under 1 meter and adults over 65 both get in for free and there are a number of ticket types to choose from.
It is 7.95€ to get in and then you can pay 3€ per ride that you choose to go on, or choose to get a wrist band. For people who love rides and want the flexibility of going on everything definitely choose the Supertivolino pass which is 14.95€ and allows you to ride on 35 of the rides, as many times as you like.
Insider’s Tip – The pricing can be confusing, as everyone has to pay the entry fee, even if you get the wristband. The total entry fee to go on everything is 22.90€. It’s good value if you love rides and will stay there for a long time, it can just be a bit of a surprise if you’re not expecting it!
