This Argentinian Steakhouse in central Marbella is a carnivore’s dream! Tucked away one street back from the seafront and close to the Marbella Port, this is a favourite with the locals for its great food, excellent atmosphere, good service and reasonable prices.

You can eat outside, or in the cozy, atmospheric restaurant, which is always buzzing all year round. It’s an informal dining experience, with a brasserie feel, but service is quick, drinks come served with a little bowl of crisps while you choose, and the wine list is good and very reasonably priced. For the full Argentinian experience, ask for a bottle of the Malbec, it’s a treat but amazing with the steak. However, the house wine is also decent and excellent value – particularly the red.

It’s not a big menu, but everything is delicious, with small, tapas style dishes being served up quickly from the efficient kitchen. To start try the provolone cheese, bubbling and hot and the crispy empanadas filled with minced meat. Don’t fill yourself up too much though, the meaty mains are the real reason to visit this place!

If you want a selection from the menu and you like your meat, then the mixed BBQ is a good choice, as it has all the favourites. However most people go for the steaks, as they are full of flavour and perfectly cooked to your liking.

The signature dish is the Bife de Lomo Patagonica, which many people rank as the best steak around – tender and tasty, with plenty of seasoning and a baked potato on the side. This is the most expensive steak on the menu, but if you’re on a budget try the Entraña (skirt steak) which is a favourite Argentinian cut which is full of flavour and really great value.

To round off this amazing meal, try a typical Argentinian desert the pionono, which is like a little swiss roll, full of sweet and sticky dulce de leche – delicious with a strong coffee.

There is an amazing lunch deal Monday to Fridays, with delicious dishes from 6.90€ to 10.90€ depending on what you choose. This is a great way to try some of their amazing food, at a very low price and it’s available between 1pm and 5.30pm.

Patagonica is a must for any meat eaters on holiday in Marbella. To find out more find them on Facebook, or read the reviews on TripAdvisor.

Insider’s Tip – Try Marbella’s Puerto Deportivo for a sundowner or an after dinner drink when you’re dining at Patagonica, it’s just a stone’s throw away and buzzing until late.
